Dutch Ambassador voices her support to the attendees of Queer Film Days in Albania

Dutch embassies play a vital part in the execution of our international projects. With their ongoing support allows we are able to empower sidelined voices and visibilize minorities, allowing their stories to join the collective narratives of their local contexts as well as of a broader global narrative.

The past three weeks we have been conducting trainings on filmmaking in Tirana – Albania and Skopje – North Macedonia with a remarkable group of young storytellers from the Western Balkan region, also programming Queer Film Days within the frame of the International Human Rights Film Festival Albania. In the midst of the global pandemic, everyone involved in the project –from coordinators to volunteers, creatives and attendees– have adapted so as to comply with health and safety rules in order for the show to go on. Our most heartfelt appreciation for everyone on board.

The Dutch Ambassador to Tirana, Guusje Korthals Altes, voices her support for Queer Film Days in a video message for the attendees of the International Human Rights Film Festival Albania (IHRFFA).
