About: The Queer Festival Haarlem is a new ten-day event that focuses on celebrating queer culture and promoting social awareness about gender and sexual diversity in Haarlem. The festival will take place from September 5-15, 2024 and will create a safe and inclusive space where people of all ages, sexual orientations and gender identities come together to celebrate queer culture. The goal is to create a lasting legacy, including a permanent queer location in Haarlem, where art and culture are used as instruments of expression and change. The festival will consist of queer film, theater, performance, drag shows and debate.

Our role: The role of art.1 is to co-produce the festival with the Queer Haarlem Foundation and to shape the film program in the Schuur.
