Pitch Perfect (2024-2025)

About: Pitch Perfect is a small-scale partnership project with the Palermo-based organisation Close in the Distance and is financed by Erasmusplus. The project Pitch Perfect aims to provide counselors, mainly psychologists and therapists but also educators or professionals with a different, yet humanistic background, a learning and reflection path on LGBTQ inclusion perspectives. Rapidly changing cultural conditions, linguistic and communicative changes – reflection of realities and perceptions in transformation – determine the need for new words, relational models and dispositions. The project supports and strengthens especially the linguistic and communicative skills of psychologists, psychotherapists, educators who exercise their own profession primarily at help desks and in contact with childhood, adolescence and family groups, also developing for them a new set of creative, game-related tools designed to address in a playful yet effective way SOGIESC topics together with parents.

Our role: Research-oriented activities supporting Close in the Distance for the development of the didactic handout for counselors; Dissemination actvities, introducing the deliverables (2 workshops involving counselors and/or educators and youth workers who work closely with LGBTQ Youth); Research, study and preliminary development of the visual, narrative kit, along with Close in the Distance’s counselors and educators; Quality validation and internal monitoring of project results
